  • Re: Pervasive - deactivating itself based on false hardware change?

Hi Lee, Did you ever get to the bottom of these seemingly spurious deactivations?  Did you contact DBCIC for further information, and assuming you did, were there legitimate reasons the license became disabled? Regards, Jon Grieve Southdown House Software Ltd

  • Re: Dates greater than 20/02/2012 insert incorrectly.

All, As noted, this is pure Btrieve.. no DDFs therefore no SQL angle on it. It seems the problem must lie with the way the TS is being built. The thread below provides a function to convert a textual date to a TS. http://cs.pervasive.com/forums/p/9684/9684.aspx Jon

  • PSQL v11 Win64 Crash

All, One of my customers has put a PSQL v11 Win64 engine in - currently a Trial, awaiting a full license from us.  They have started a job to convert the data files, and the PSQL engine crashed 3 times this afternoon.  I'm not sure of the specific symptoms of the crash, but they had to restart the services. The Windows Event Log ...

  • Re: Clarification of behaviour of CLI Activation

Hi Jay, Thanks for clarifying that.  My customer was attempting to practise the Offline method of activation, prior to their first type of installation with no connectivity, so was a bit surprised to find it had activated.  Not a problem, just wanted to check. Jon

  • Clarification of behaviour of CLI Activation

Hi, Can I clarify an aspect of the CLILCADM usage please.. Today, a customer of mine issued the following command:   CLILCADM -g product_key output_filename.ath Instead of producing the filename.ath file, the license was successfully activated and no output file was produced.  Can I confirm this is correct - that, if internet ...

  • Re: BA Error 85?

Linda,  I will endeavour to get some logs, etc. tomorrow. Out of interest, what are your thoughts on receiving Error 85 when doing a DROP TABLE on a #Temp table?  To be more specific, we have a situation where a SQL #Temp file is created, then a Stored Proc is called that populates that temp table, and uses it to then perform a ...

  • Re: BA Error 85?

Hi Linda, Thanks for the swift reply. I have to say, the cause of the 85 is what I'm interested in.. am seeing other instances of spurious 84 locks.. http://cs.pervasive.com/forums/p/13060/45147.aspx#45147 I will add those files, but only after I use them as a reproducable cause of these problems.  Will report back here and other ...

  • Error "No such table or object" when editing Stored Procs

Hi, PSQL v10.30, 32-bit, Win2K3 Server. I have a customer who is getting a problem when trying to Edit Stored Procs.  They can create the SP no problem, but when they got to edit it, regardless of the change made, when the Save button is hit, the following message is shown: "[LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface][Data Record ...
