    ntdbsmgr64.exe memory issue

I am having an issue that the ntdbsmgr64.exe will use all of the available ram and the server will crash. We installed a new dell server with windows server2008 R2 with 8 gig of ram. the ntdbsmgr64.exe will continually keep growning and about the 5th day it will crash the server. this is a police deparment that runs 24hours so I can't schedule a reboot every 4 days. our older version of pervasive we could go months before it needed a reboot.

    any suggestions

What exact version of PSQL are you using?  Are you fully patched to v11.20 Update 3 (11.21.014)?

What are your PSQL settings?  What is your cache allocation setting?

Is there anything in the PVSW.LOG for the server?

     Try configuring with these values:

    - Cache Allocation Size: 3072 (MB) -- if the database size is substantially less than 3GB, then use the total size of the database files instead.

    - Max Microkernel Memory Usage: 0 (%)
