Server install to Vista Home Premium

After the install path is choen and a few files are extracted, the following message appears and the installation will not continue.

Then an alert window appears that reads: ‘The detected version of Windows on the target system is Windows Vista or higher.  Pervasive PSQL v10 Server Engine (32-bit) can only be installed on workstation class systems for this version of Windows.’

While the message seems strange, why would you want to run a "server" database engine on a "home" operating system?

Does the Workgroup engine install on Vista Home?  If so,  I would suggest using that.  Otherwise, you should probably use the business version of Vista.

Not my choice of OS, I am helping a client.  I asked them the same question.  But they have more than 5 users so Workgroup is not an option and the documentation from Pervasive indicates that it is a supported installation on Vista Home Premium (as opposed to Home Basic).  I have suggested that ugrading to a business Vista may be needed.

Just got a response from Pervasive - their compatibility list on the web page http://ww2.pervasive.com/Database/Products/PSQLv10/Pages/v10SystemRequirements.aspx is wrong and this is NOT a supported installation.  Looks like my client needs to upgrade the Vista.
