Using the SQL Data Manager to write a query

    Hi,

I'm new here, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Our company has Pervasive 8.5, and I'm trying to use the SQL Data Manager to write a query to update all our pricing in our database.  We've got Netcellent's Elliot V.7.3, and our database has about 18,250 parts in it.  I've done some limited report writing, etc. in other systems, but I've never used PSQL, and I'm not sure where to start.  Our reseller has moved out of the area, and has some other health issues that make things difficult to get specific help.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Wayne Gerbrandt

The best place to start, in terms of PSQL, would be the documentation.  You can get most of it at http://www.pervasive.com/library.

If you want to update all 18,250 parts, you're probably going to be better off using the application.  An Update query might be too generic.
