    Error when opening Control Center

I have recently seen two machines give an error when I launch Control Center. The error is generic and points to a log file. Looking at the log file all the entries are 'java' related. (I can post log file if that will help.) I've reinstalled the latest Java release, and even reinstalled Pervasive over the existing installation. Nothing seems to work. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a known fix? TIA Bob

Please post the contents of the log so that we may be able to see if there is a Java error we can follow.

     Thank you

Re: Error when opening Control Center

Can you tell me what version of PSQL you are using (v10.10, v10.20, v10.30, etc)? I thought it might be a Java version issue.  We have seen issues where the Java was lower than what we need, but not higher "java.version=1.7.0_05".  I installed Java 1.7 on a test machine then installed v10.30 and the PCC opened with no errors.

Re: Error when opening Control Center

Interesting.  I uninstalled v10.30 and installed v10.  When I launched the PCC I got a message box:

An error has occured. See the log file C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Pervasive Software\PSQL\rcp\configuration\1344437695537.log.

    The log file shows:

So the v10.0x doesn't support that version of Java.  Would it be an issue to upgrade to v10.30?

Shouldn't be as long as there is not data loss (which I'm sure there won't be), and no additional charge. Do you happen to have a link for v10.3? Oh, and thank you for all the help.

My apologies for not posting earlier.  You may have already found this but the update can be found here: http://www.pervasivedb.com/psqlv10/pages/default.aspx
