I am trying to use the latest firebird odbc driver (http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/odbc-driver/) with the map designer of Pervasive Data Integrator version 9.2.Similar to a previous thread with no solution suitable in my situation I am unable to connect to the firebird database. The DSN and ODBC configuration is working ok and connecting to the database. However, when I try and connect to the same ODBC System DSN within the map designer I get an error.
[ODBC Firebird Driver] Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to set up a Firebird Login.
If I click on the Source Table/View pick list the tables pop up and then the map designed crashes. Is there any workaround to this problem?
Firebird have other .Net drivers and there is a free free OLEDB driver from IB.
Can these alternative drivers be used with other middleware products like a .net provider for ODBC or an OleDB provider for ODBC?
If so can anyone point me in the right direction?
Alternatively it may be a simple setting in the ODBC/connection string that is causing the issue but I can’t seem to find any?Any suggestions appreciated.
