Error 161 after upgrading from XP to Win 7

    Error 161 after upgrading from XP to Win 7

    We have been using PSQL ver 10.3 Workgroup Engine for a long time on XP. We just upgraded our production developement machine to Win 7.  Each time we launch PV we get an error 161.  We have to uninstall and re-install PSQL ver 10.3 again.  Then when we reboot, again the 161 error and we again have to uninstall/re-install PV ver 10.3.  Any suggestions?

     Can you look in License Administrator or the Command Line (Start>Run>CMD then clilcadm -i) to see if the license is installed and active?  If you open Monitor (and Look in Resource Usage, what do you see under Maximum for Licenses in Use?

    Read this kb.  Authorize using the steps outlined in the KB.   Your other option would be to uninstall the product and reinstall it as a service.   Should you continue to have problems, we suggest that you email dbcic@pervasive.com.  In your email, paste the license string, your contact information, and a short description of the problem.
