    Re: Pervasive 10.10 install

I have a different problem. I have a WinXP client with Pervasive 10 client installed. I have two evaluation Servers, one Pervasive 10 32 bit and one Pervasive 10 64 bit. Both are on (different) Fedora 9 Servers. The client can connect to the 32 bit server just fine. But when I try to connect to the 64 bit server, I get this error message from the Pervasive System Analyzer: "Failure to connect to 192.168.0.9 via TCP due to a Windsock error. No connection to the target machine could be made because the target system actively refused it." Since I set up both servers the same and checked all relevant firewall settings, I don't know why this should be.

    Any hints?

I have split this thread as this post was off topic in the original thread.

Not so sure if this is unrelated....

Do a `netstat -an | grep "LISTEN "` on the server and check for ports 3351 (transactional) and 1583 (relational). Additionally you may verify you can actually target these ports (if active) by using the telnet command.
