A client of mine is trying to move a production version of pervasive 8.6 client/server that came with a packaged application - Lytec 2005 client/server.
They are trying to move their application along with the database to a new hardware, and do not have the pervasive license key, and are running into issues on the new install. The pervasive keeps complaining about missing license even though the same process was followed to do the install as was done on the original box.
Is there a way to get the actual pervasive license used on the old box by some utility?
Should we call Pervasive to recover our license key or call the application vendor ?
