  • We Have Ascended the Summit! PSQL v10 is here!

We are proud to announce the release of Pervasive PSQL Summit v10. This release delivers our first x64 edition, compatibility with Windows Vista™, a new Xtreme I/O performance booster and much more.

Major highlights in PSQL v10 include a new 64-bit API for Btrieve and DTI, seamless support for Windows Vista™, 64-bit platform support, new SQL security functionality, a 100% compliant Windows Installer (MSI), integrated Data Dictionary File Builder (DDFB) and an updated .NET provider. New features like XIO allow applications to optimize on existing 32-bit technology for additional performance and memory extensions beyond the 2GB limit and support for dual and multi-core processors. The new installer now offers a variety of deployment options, from single components to choices for Workgroup, Client, or Server, while still providing an easy to use and seamless install process.

Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 support today's new operating systems, and will soon include support for Windows Server 2008 and Linux Distributions for Debian, Mandriva, Novell, Red Hat, and Ubuntu.

I encourage you to visit the Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 web site and download an evaluation copy.

    Regards,

    Jim Beecher

  • The Summit is near!

I can say that things have been very busy here at Pervasive as the team completes the final ascent of the Pervasive PSQL Summit v10 journey. More details coming very soon but I suspect Tuesday will be a big day at the Pervasive offices, as the advanced climbing team appears to be close to . . . the Summit!
