Of all of the tools and utilities Pervasive provides the one that is asked about the most and used by Developers, Programmer and Database Administrators is our DDF (Data Dictionary File) Builder! I’m pleased to announce that we have posted our DDFB 4.5 on the developers section of our web site for evaluation.

This version has been updated with a cleaner and easier to use interface when creating or modifying DDF files. We’ve also added additional logic to ensure that your DDF files are compliant and well designed to ensure optimal performance and computability. Documentation has been updated to with tutorials and samples to help you get started in designing your metadata structures. DDFB 4.5 is built on the Java Eclipse Framework for complete compatibility across all platforms. Moving forward we will incorporate an updated version of the “Check Database” into the product to allow users the ability to verify their metadata definitions and design.
