In the industry of big data, we’re always curious to know what IS big data?
It used to be terabytes, now it’s petabytes, and it’s exponentially growing.
We agree with Jim, it’s not about how much data you have but how much valuable information you’re getting from it.
As cited by Davin Potts, our Director of Product Management, “Sipping from the firehose isn't impressive. Big data is when I can scale to process the volume, keep up with the firehose, and afford to crunch through all of that data that I can get my hands on. Anything less is just a big number.”
